Terms of Use for Renters
- Vehicle Rentals
1.1 Booking and Payments: By booking a vehicle through the Service, you agree to pay the rental fee, caution fee, taxes, and any additional fees specified in the booking details to confirm your reservation. Without payment, there is no reservation. Payment Options are Available
1.2 Vehicle Inspection: You agree to inspect the vehicle before, during, and after the rental period and to report any damage or issues to Royale Cove immediately. Failure to report damage may result in the renter’s liability for repair costs. You are advised to take clear pictures of all the exterior, interior, undercarriage, roof, doormats, floor mats, entertainment accessories, seats, dashboard, instrument cluster, safety equipment, extra tire, etc. When the vehicle is returned, these will be inspected, and renters will be liable for any damages or missing items.
1.3 Compliance with Laws: You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations while operating the rented vehicle, including traffic laws, insurance requirements, and licensing requirements.
1.4 Logistics: You agree to pay for any logistics related to vehicle delivery to your location and pick up from your designated address, including toll and parking fees.
1.5 24-hour Rental timing: Rentals are from 8 a.m. to 7 a.m. the following day, and you agree to comply with the timing or pay for extra hours if you are late or need a rental extension.
- Liability
2.1 Insurance Coverage: All renters who pay for insurance will be covered in the event of damage, but you may be responsible for a deductible or excess charge in the event of excess damage, loss, or theft of the vehicle.
2.2 Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Royale Cove and the vehicle owner from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from or in any way connected with your use of the rented vehicle.
2.3 Physical and Mechanical damage: Renters who do not pay for insurance are 100% responsible for any physical damage they incur on the rented vehicle. Renters will bear a Mechanical damage liability of 50% of the estimated repair cost concerning the powertrain. Given this, renters are advised to pay close attention to the instrument cluster of their rental cars and report any abnormalities as fast as possible.
2.4 Fuelling: Renters are responsible for purchasing good fuel from trusted gas stations for their rental cars. Renters who purchase bad fuel will be responsible for any mechanical damages to the fuel pump, injection system, and engine.
2.5 Refuelling fee: Renters will be charged a refuelling fee if they return the rental car with fuel lower than it was during pick-up/delivery. However, renters can pay for fuelling upfront and have the vehicle delivered with as much fuel as they paid for, but the car should never be returned with the reserve light.
2.6 Late return fee: Renters will be charged an hourly late return fee if they do not return the rental car by 7 a.m. or the rental expiration time.
2.7 Cleaning fee: Renters are liable to pay a cleaning fee if the rental car returns dirty and unkempt. Renters are hereby advised to keep rental cars clean
- Termination
3.1 Termination by Rent to Drive: Royale Cove reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service without prior knowledge if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or illegal activities.
3.2 Termination by User: You may terminate your account anytime by contacting Royale cove Management

- Miscellaneous
4.1 Changes to Terms: Royale Cove reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms of Service. Your continued use of the Service after posting the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
4.2 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Returns & Refunds Policy
Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellation by Renter:
If you cancel a booking, you may be subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the total rental cost.
- Cancellations must be made through Royale Cove Management
- Refunds:
- Refunds for cancellations will be processed within 14 days of the cancellation date.
- The refund will be the total rental cost minus the 25% cancellation fee.
- Exceptions:
- Royale Cove may waive the cancellation fee and provide a full refund in extenuating circumstances, such as natural disasters or medical emergencies. Proof of the circumstances may be required to be eligible.
- No-Shows:
- If you fail to show up for your rental without canceling, you will not be eligible for a refund.
- Caution fee :
- This is refundable 48 hours after rental expiration in the absence of any damages or liability. No refund will be made if the Renter incurs any liability or damage to the rental vehicle.
- Refund Process:
- Refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used for the booking.
